Maths Basic Fact Test
I was so impressed by my class today when they did their Basic Fact Test. They are all experts at adding and subtracting and groups of 2,5 and 10. Big high five for checking the sign.
Pirate Diagrams
I'm so impressed with these self directed learners challenging themselves by adding labels to lift their learning.

Kaila's Shells
Today Kaila brought her shell collection to school. We decided it would fun to classify the shells according to likeness. I drew three circles for the children and they soon added many more circles as they became very specific with their classification!
Buddy Class Fun
Yesterday Room 5 spent the afternoon with their buddy class. Room 19 had written and published instructions and then taught new skills to the Room 5 children using these instructions. There was baking, drawing, hairstyles and science experiments! Thanks Michelle and Room 18!

Play is the Way
We have been focussing on behaviour and how it affects others. The children have been playing games and discussing feelings when we try something new or hard. We discussed feelings of feeling left out, making friends, standing up for ourselves. Making strong choices and using our thinking before our actions.
Awesome Self directed Learning
I am so proud of all the children in Pod 2 working independently at Pataitai. You are all making great strong choices and challenging your learning and thinking. Ka pai!
